LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE

The year so far….

It’s almost everyone’s right of passage to set goals and resolutions for a new year. Sounds familiar?

Saving money, travelling, taking up a new course or losing weight, etc. We all want to improve something in our lives and starting a new year with new set goals always sounds so good. Absolutely nothing wrong with that but it almost always fails for most people. Could we be setting standards that are a bit unrealistic or quitting just becomes easier?

For a while I have been fascinated with printable planners. I usually use the weekly and monthly planners. I find it so much easier to actually do things this way. For example, I plan my workouts on weekly basis if I’m not doing longer programs that usually last anything from 3 weeks to 2 months. At the end of each week, it’s easier to sit down to review and reflect on how well I’ve done. Even though it’s a long term goal to be fit and healthy, it requires small steps everyday to build a habit that eventually pays off at the end.

If your aim is to save money for a project, traveling or rainy day, the easier way to do it is develop a personal financial planner. It may start with a written simple daily expense tracker and monthly budget. Buying lunch/ coffee everyday at works adds up or simply buying new clothes just  because they are on sale  will hamper your aims to reach goals.

Simple as that, to reach any goal in life we need a plan and have regular reviews/reflections.

Remember a journey with a miles begins with a single step.
