Quick Fix?

Most of us have come across at least one advert that promises rapid weight loss results. Either be in slimming pills or teas or whatever…Usually these adverts will show someone who’s so fit, you immediately get ‘jealous’ when you see them. Totally ripped midsection and a killer hot body. That’s what we (most) dream about, right? And the cherry on top of all this, sometimes a celebrity or someone we admire gets to endorse it. Just go through Instagram and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Just for a moment,  stop and think about this. Put on your rational thinking cap and have a moment. Wouldn’t that be amazing to shed all the unwanted weight with a sip of tea, or pop a magic pill. Generally  in life, we work hard to achieve anything we need, and quick fixes may work temporarily but they are not long term solutions. So why do we have to take a short cut with our bodies?

I love my herbal teas. I drink tea everyday. But I don’t base it as a quick fix to get a fit body. If that was the case, I would totally be the fittest person around. Different teas have many benefits to them and here are just a few ;

  • Tea contains less caffeine than coffee
  • They are loaded with antioxidants
  • Calorie -free on it’s own.

Also, they may help ( note: HELP)

  • Reduce risk of heart attack and stroke
  • Weight loss
  • Boost immune system
  • Soothe digestive system

A healthy  and fit body will not come by sitting and eating crappy food. The key thing is if we need to maintain a healthy lifestyle, Eat right and Move! With or without the teas, it’s possible.  Short cuts will not guarantee you a lifetime success.

So my beautiful people, drink your tea, it’s a whole lot better than sugar-loaded drinks but  remember, it’s not a magic fix.
