Fit and Happy!

Life in general is tough. One way or another, most people are under tremendous pressure to handle day-to-day basis, be with family, work, relationships and a lot of other responsibilities and commitments. Usually, many are left with very little time for self-care or me-time. Nobody wants to be left behind. We all want to look and  feel healthy, and avoid being riddled with health problems.

Easier said than done but WE NEED TO NURTURE OURSELVES by making time for ourselves. If I feel good about myself, I’m such a gem. Lack of sleep or hunger brings out my inner monster. And I hate that monster.

For the past few months, I made it a habit to take regular exercise which has helped me a lot. I managed to lose all the baby weight, and now working hard to have a much leaner and toned body. Not there yet, I don’t have perfect flat toned abs, lean thighs but I’m much stronger, and I feel good about myself which I think is the most important thing.

It’s been much easier because I’m home on maternity leave and I know the dynamics will change once I get back to work. Hopefully, the commitment and determination will not lose power. I would hate to see all my hard work go down the drain.

As you’ll on the see other posts, I do all my workouts at home. I owe being able to stick to it by planning in detail which workout I had to do on a notebook. Depending on which program/ workout I was doing, my plans are usually weekly or monthly.

Hope this inspires you, whether you’re already on the fitness wagon or just hopping on. If you put your mind and focus on it, you will achieve your fitness goals, just like everything else in life.

Remember, you’re just as special and important as your kids or spouse/partner, me-time is essential for a happy and healthy you.
